Hi! My name is Danielle Redmond.
I started studying birth in 2009, when I got hooked on reading birth stories. They were raw, real, beautiful – and each one was unique.
In 2013, I wrote my Master’s thesis about the anthropology of birth in Alaska. Then in April 2015, I completed a doula training and breastfeeding course. I am now a certified doula through DONA.
…But more importantly, I’m a mom. I have 2 beautiful children of my own and I want to help other families get off to a great start, to grow, and to thrive.
What makes you feel safe and strong?
In order to provide full support, I have partnered with another local doula, Courtney DeGuzman. She is also a mother of 2 who has gone through the DONA birth doula training. She has had a wide range of birth experiences and a frank, down-to-earth attitude that make her a fantastic doula! I love working with her.
